In the background you can see a metal structure rising up. this was a windmill Dad used to charge the batteries for the cars and radio. It was Paige's job to climb up and get the blades moving when there was no wind. One day he climb up high and had himself photographed to give the illusion of him being as tall as the structure.
No my Dad was not a farmer. We lived on a farm in the Wartburg
district and he was an inspector working for the Department of Agriculture.
